Chase & Partners advises Rivington on Chester
Development Consultancy and Agency
Chester City Centre
Client: Rivington Land
Chase & Partners gave development consultancy advice to Rivington Land as part of its submission to provide Development Management/Project Management to Cheshire West and Chester Council for the regeneration of the Northgate site in Chester City Centre.
The Council selected Rivington Land as its advisor in relation to the proposed development of a new 500,000 sq ft shopping centre in Chester to include a multi-screen cinema and a 1,000 space car park. Completion is targeted for autumn 2017.
Mark Paynter advised Rivington Land throughout their submission to the Council reporting on the retail and leisure markets and potential tenant mix. Mark will be acting as Development Consultant and Leasing Manager to Rivington Land throughout the project.
Rivington Land was recently set up by David Lewis, the former MD of Centros and the new company sees David team up with former colleague John Laker.
Cheshire West and Chester Council last year took proactive steps to get the development off the ground after it was stalled for several years during the recession. In December 2013 it bought ING Real Estate Development’s assets within the site, which included the Forum shopping centre, giving it control of 85% of the site.
