Instruction: Redevelopment

Between 1995 and 2014 Graham Chase acted for Sevenoaks District Council on the redevelopment of Sevenoaks town centre known as “Blighs Meadow”. This included a CPO to acquire over 160 interests in land ranging from light industrial premises to residential and including every property type found in town centre areas. Graham acted as the valuer for Sevenoaks District council in assessing compensation and finalising agreements with the claimants under all heads of compensation. The third and final phase of the development was completed in 2014 comprising a new M&S variety store and residential development. Graham advised SDC throughout on all aspects relating to viability, deliverability and the CPO, including compensation, selecting the developer, acting as development consultant and joint letting agent and disposing of the created investment several years later as well as the land for the third phase.
